PropertyPal

Property information platform

The client

PropertyPal is a property information platform designed to help buyers access relevant information based on where they're searching. The website presents different content depending on whether visitors are looking at properties in Victoria or Queensland, making the experience more relevant from the moment they arrive.

The project also needed to support multiple languages, allowing the same information to be presented to a broader audience without maintaining separate websites.

The challenge

The website wasn't a typical brochure site. It needed to deliver different information depending on the visitor's location while remaining fast and simple to use.

The client also required multilingual support and an easy way to manage property information without relying on WordPress or a page builder. The challenge was creating a site that felt straightforward for users while handling much more complex logic behind the scenes.

What I built

I built the entire website by hand using modern web technologies rather than WordPress or another off-the-shelf platform. This kept the site lightweight, responsive and quick to load across desktop and mobile devices.

One of the key features is automatic state detection. Visitors from Victoria and Queensland are presented with content that's relevant to their location, reducing unnecessary navigation and helping them find the information they're looking for more quickly.

I also implemented a language toggle, allowing visitors to switch between supported languages without leaving the page or navigating to a separate version of the website.

Behind the scenes, the website connects to a custom content management system, allowing property information to be updated without editing the site's code. Google Analytics and Google Search Console were configured to provide ongoing insight into traffic and search performance, and the site was built with accessibility, SEO and performance as core considerations.

The result

The finished website provides a much more tailored experience than a traditional property website. By automatically serving state-specific information and allowing visitors to change languages with a single click, users can access the content most relevant to them without unnecessary complexity.

The custom CMS gives the client complete control over their content while keeping the site fast, secure and reliable. Rather than relying on plugins and templates, the site has been built specifically around the way the business operates.
